<p>Set of four original pochoir illustrations from La Journee de Mado published by Galerie Lutetia, Paris, 1932, as “la journée de Mado” (the day of Mado, consisting of Mado Se Maquille, Mado S’ Habille, Mado se Deshabille, Mado Babille).
<p>Those 4 have been produced as the last pochoir pieces of the era during the harsh economic times that followed 1929 when many of the smaller couture houses had closed and several of the great illustrators had joined Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar to help ensure steady work. </p>

<p>Desirable archaic nephrite (jade) disc, so-called Bi, from the Warring States period ( 476 BCE – 221 BCE). <br /> <br />  Diameter: 3,3 inches ( 83 mm ) 80 gram, fine condition<br />   <br />  This object had been carved on both sides with raised “grain pattern” with raised ridges.<br />   <br />  The object comes from the famous Dr. Heihs collection.<br />   <br />
Dark green jade with brown beige inclusions making a pattern with horizontal lines. Shiny surface with a soft polish from handling.</p>

<p><font face="Verdana" size="2">Felix Graf von Luckner (1881 -1966) was a German nobleman, navy officer, author and noted sailor who earned the epithet Der Seeteufel (the Sea-Devil) &#8212; and his crew that of Die Piraten des Kaisers (the Emperor&#8217;s Pirates) &#8212; for his exploits in command of the sailing commerce raider SMS Seeadler (Sea Eagle) in 1916-1917.<br />

<p>Most attractive bronze incense burner from the Ming period. Bottom mark: „Da Ming Xuan-de Nian Zhi“. (1426-1436)<br />   <br />  Warm Patina. The object belonged to the famous Dr. Heihs collection.</p>
<p>  The wooden top and the stand can possibly be from a later periode but surely not later than Early- Mid-Qing Dynasty.<br />   <br />  110 x 75 x 44 mm (plus top and socket it stands – 110 mm high).<br />   <br />  A very suitable object for money investment with a high potential for a moderate price.<br />   <br />  Please keep in mind that our prices include postage, insurance and taxes.
