Carlos Bady: Set of 4 Art Deco Pochoir. La Journee de Mado
Set of four original pochoir illustrations from La Journee de Mado published by Galerie Lutetia, Paris, 1932, as “la journée de Mado” (the day of Mado, consisting of Mado Se Maquille, Mado S’ Habille, Mado se Deshabille, Mado Babille).
Those 4 have been produced as the last pochoir pieces of the era during the harsh economic times that followed 1929 when many of the smaller couture houses had closed and several of the great illustrators had joined Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar to help ensure steady work. More Art Deco:HERE |
