Unusual Chinese Leisure Seal with Manchurian Text. Qing Dynasty.

1799 (?) Interesting Chinese seal, grey – beige Shou Shan Stone with Chinese and Manchurian characters: Qin Xin Jian Qi 琴心剑气( The heart of the zither has the power of a sword).

The seal was engraved by the famous seal carver Dong Xun ( 董洵 1740-1809), Artist name Xiao Chi 小池.

Side engraving with details and seal carver’s name. Very fine condition.

Chinese Leisure Seal by Weng Danian. Qing Tian Stone.

China, Qing Dynasty: Attractive seal, dark Qing Tian stone, 青田, with a pair of quails and a Lotus leave as handle. Engraved are 2 characters: 素风 Su Feng (White Wind).

The seal was carved by the famous calligrapher and seal carver 叔均 Shu Jun, better known by his artist name 翁大年 Weng Da Nian (1811-1890).

0,8 x 0,8 x 2,7 inches (20 x 20 x 67 mm), 65 gram, very fine condition.

作者简介：翁大年（1811～1890），初名鸿，字叔钧，又字叔均，号陶斋，江苏吴江人。清代篆刻家。精考证，篆刻取法秦汉，结体工致妥帖。侧款作小楷，颇有韵致.

Art Nouveau Jardiniere. Glas Metal, Hall Mark.

Decorative Art Nouveau Jardinière with roses on each side. Metal (probably a brass and antimony alloy). Glass – cut crystal glass.

The Jardinière comes from Austria. The hall-mark reads Argenior A-8.

Size: 9,8 x 3,5 x 4,9 inches ( 24,8 x 8,8 x 11,8 cm). 522 gram.

Excellent condition.

Chinese Leisure Seal by Pan Zhulan. Very attractive

Most beautiful Chinese seal made of Shou Shan Stone (水晶咚 Shui jing dong -
stone). Engraved are 4 characters: 春在天涯 – Chun zai Tianya ( spring is far away).

This semi-transparent stone has a brown enclosure which has been skilfully carved into a dragon and such forms the handle of the chop.

The seal was very well carved by the famous seal carver 潘主兰 Pan Zhulan (1901-2001) in 1952.

Well carved side inscription in Li-shu style with Artist’s name, date and details.

0,8 x 0,8 x 4,2 inches (23 x 23 x 106 mm), 110 gram, very fine condition.

Chinese Seal by Zi Hou 子厚: Shou Shan, Qing Dynasty

China, Qing Dynasty, 1887: Attractive marbled Stone with 3 characters engraved: He wei gui – 和为贵 ( Peace is the most precious. A term used by Confucius, from the Analects ). The seal has been carved by the famous seal carver Zi Hou, who’s seals are treasured among collectors.

Very beautiful Shou Shan stone, marbled.

1,1 x 0,6 x 1,8 inches (27 x 14 x 77 mm), very fine condition.

Chinese Leisure Seal by Tang Huishu 唐惠淑. Qing Dynasty

Attractive Leisure Chinese seal from the Qing Dynasty, carved by the important female seal-carver Tang Huishu 唐惠淑 ( artist name Bing Xin 冰心). Greyish Fu Rong – Shou Shan stone 芙蓉寿山石.

Engraved as actual seal are 4 characters: Guo Hai Shen-Xian 过海神仙 ( crossing the sea to find immortality ).Precious stone, very well carved. Side carving with details to date and seal carver. Very fine condition.

1,1 x 1,2 x 2,15 inches (26 x 29 x 56 mm). 102 gram.

Tang Huishu was born in Jin Shan in Jiangsu province. She was also a known painter, calligrapher and wrote a few books.

China, Qing Dynasty: Shoes for Lilly Feet.

Old Chinese shoes, made of silk and cotton. Authentic pair, appr. 100 years old, made for a lady with Lilly feet. Partly embroidered.

The shoes are worn and show minor aging. No major blemishes though, just slight wear.

China Qing Leisure Seal, Shou Shan with Landscape, by Pan Zhengwei 潘正炜

Nice, old Chinese seal made of yellow-brown Shou Shan – Stone from the later Qing-Dynasty. Engraving of a landscape scene with 2 scholars. The shades of the stone have been well used – impression of mist over the bridge. 4 characters as actual seal: Li Zi Suo Wan (李子所玩).

Carving with the name of the seal carver, the well known and important seal carver Pan Zhengwei ( 潘正炜 1821-1861).

潘正炜 (清）字季彤，号听颿楼主人，道光、咸丰（1821—1861年）间番禺（今广州）人。精鉴别，富收藏书、画。著听颿楼集贴、听颿楼书画记、听颿楼续刻书画记。印章有【季彤审定】（明清书画印鉴）

Old, very well carved stone in very fine condition.
